tropical resort design concept: WARDS 2020 I Made Suwitra, Ni Made Ayu Suardani , I Wayan Budiarta, Robbi Rahim, 2021-04-15 Poverty is a social problem that has never been discussed. Both in terms of the poverty rate, the impact it causes, the factors that cause it, to the alternatives to overcome it. The phenomenon of poverty is related to various dimensions of life, so that the problem of poverty becomes very complex. The problem of poverty requires multisectoral handling, it cannot be resolved only from one sector but requires a collaborative approach from various sectors in government as well as with the private sector and the community. Because poverty does not only concern the economic, education, health, infrastructure, but also social, cultural and even political issues. So that a multidimensional policy is needed with a coping strategy that involves many parties in an integrated manner. In fact, the government has made various efforts to reduce poverty, both at the national level and for districts and cities. Some of these efforts include opening job opportunities, providing direct assistance in the form of materials to the poor, as well as community empowerment as a preventive measure taken in order to develop community competencies and skills. Therefore, poverty reduction remains a focus in development and is a shared responsibility, not only the central government and local governments, but contributions and collaboration from various parties are needed. In the direction of a new life order, poverty reduction becomes a crucial topic to be addressed. The National Seminar on Community Empowerment and Poverty Reduction Strategies is a momentum to bring together various critical views and thoughts from various fields of science related to strategies that can be carried out in reducing poverty. It is hoped that this national seminar will produce an appropriate strategy in accelerating poverty reduction in Indonesia in general and in Bali in particular. |

tropical resort design concept: The Way to Go Partners for Livable Places, 1983 This publication examines a variety of cases that demonstrate the aesthetic quality of transportation projects. These range from the relatively inexpensive painted Gus Bus in Grand Rapids to the large-scale project of designing the Montreal Metro. The purpose is to develop a fresh perspective on ways the visual appeal of transportation can be identified as a distinct element for consideration, and on the degree to which quality design contributes to the economics and function of transportation systems. A second purpose is to develop guidance and examples to assist transportation planners and citizens in dealing with these issues. The projects presented represent a wide range of costs and circumstances encountered in transportation planning. The study shows that the aesthetic benefits provided by quality materials, sensitive design, careful maintenance, and appropriate inclusion of works of art translate directly into increased patronage, cost efficiencies, and a better public environment. |

Passionately Floridian travel writer and tourism analyst Herbert Hiller offers a fuller and more balanced story about Florida's Atlantic coast than any other guidebook. Exploring towns from Callahan to Key West, Hiller covers Florida's 13 Atlantic counties, providing maps, historical and present-day photographs, and recommendations for places to visit, lodge, eat, and shop that are truly local in character. tropical resort design concept: Fripp Island Page Putnam Miller, 2006-10-01 A small island along the South Carolina coast with a white beach, live oaks, palms, pines, and vast marshes, Fripp Island captivates residents and visitors. The ebb and flow of tides, the fortunes and difficulties of developers and the fluctuations in the residential community have shaped Fripp's history. In the years since 1963 when the bridge to Fripp was built, two constants in the island's history have been the beauty of its natural setting and its dedicated residents. Page Putnam Miller, who for twenty years served as the lobbyist for the historical profession in Washington and for the past five years has been a Distinguished Visiting Lecturer in the graduate history program at the University of South Carolina, has undertaken several years of extensive research to examine the intricate turns and twists in ownership of the resort and to explore the evolution of the residential community. |
