the maharishi of mt kailash book: The Mystery of the Maharishi of Mt Kailash Bernhard Koch, 2022-08-17 In the beginning of the last century the Indian Christian Sadhu Sundar Singh met a very old prayer warrior on the roof of the world – the Maharishi of Mt Kailash. Called by Jesus the Maharishi has been interceding for the church of Christ since many years. In the process he has remarkable experiences with the spiritual realm, which are almost unknown to people from the western world. The story of the Maharishi is nearly unbelievable. It reaches far beyond our previous comprehension of what one can experience with heaven now.Sadhu Sundar Singh has been called the »Apostle of India«. He has preached the message of Jesus Christ in many villages and towns of his home country, but also to surrounding nations. His proclamation and exemplary conduct of life fascinate his fellow countrymen as much as Christians all over the world.

A poet known for revolutionary thoughts and inspiring lyrics. A human being who tirelessly worked and educated the masses about women's liberation and uplifting the people across all sections of the society. Chinnaswami Subramania Bharathi (Bharathiyar) (1882-1921) was a Tamil writer, poet, journalist, social reformer, and activist towards India's Independence. He is considered one of the greatest Tamil literary figures of all time. His works and contribution are still remembered and used in various social contexts. He was also known as Mahakavi Bharathi. Mahakavi is means the greatest of all poets. This book illustrates some of his poems to reflect his revolutionary ideas at that time.   the maharishi of mt kailash book: Visions of Sadhu Sundar Singh of India SADHU SUNDAR. SINGH, 2012-05-14 The life of Sadhu Sundar Singh was most remarkable in its Christ-likeness. He was born amidst the depths of Indian culture and religion, and into a Sikh family. During the early part of his life, Sundar''s mother would take him week by week to sit at the feet of a sadhu, an ascetic holy man, who lived some distance away in the rainforest. But with the death of his beloved mother when he was only fourteen years old, the young Sundar grew increasingly despairing and aggressive. His hatred of the local missionaries and Christians culminated in the public burning of a bible, which he tore apart page by page and threw, into the flames. Yet before long Sundar was intent on taking his own life. Sundar had arrived at a point of desperation: he had decided to throw himself under the Ludhiana express if God did not reveal to him the true way of peace. At three in the morning he rose from his bed and went out into the moonlit courtyard for the ceremonial bath observed by devout Hindus and Sikhs before worship. He then returned to his room and knelt down, bowed his head to the ground and pleaded that God would reveal himself. Yet, nothing happened. He had not known what to expect: a voice, a vision, and a trance? Still nothing happened. And it was fast approaching the time for the Lothian express. He lifted his head and opened his eyes, and was rather surprised to see a faint cloud of light in the room. It was too early for the dawn. He opened the door and peered out to the courtyard. Darkness. Turning back into the room, he saw that the light in the room was getting brighter. To his sheer amazement, he saw not the face of any of his traditional gods, but of Jesus the Christ. . . . From here on the life of Sundar Singh became most Christ-like. Being unwilling to denounce his Master, it was not long before his family had rejected him. Sundar took the saffron robes of the sadhu and began a life of spreading the simple message of love and peace and rebirth through Jesus. He carried no money or other possessions, only a New Testament. He traveled India and Tibet, as well as the rest of the world, with the message that the modern interpretation of Jesus was sadly watered down. He visited the West twice, traveling to Britain, the United States, and Australia in 1920, and Europe again in 1922. With the large number of spiritual paths and techniques, facing the world of today it is of special value to consider the life and insights of one who truly embraced the simplicity, love and freedom offered through devotion to Christ. I am not worthy to follow in the steps of my Lord, he said, but like Him, I want no home, no possessions. Like Him I will belong to the road, sharing the suffering of my people, eating with those who will give me shelter, and telling all people of the love of God.   the maharishi of mt kailash book: Linga Puran Lahiri Mahasaya, 2014-11-17 This is a scriptural commentary of Lahiri Mahasaya on Linga Puran, In The Light Of Kriya. When the body trembles, it is medium Pranayam. When the body levitates, it is Super Pranayam. Seeing the inner Visions is called Darsan. The Kriyanwit, holding onto the After-effect-poise of Kriya in Samadhi, stays like a corpse. The Yogi becomes extremely powerful and inward when he holds onto the After-effect-poise of Kriya for a whole year. His sperm become golden. He becomes Omniscient and generates good Seed. His arms reach out in ten directions, and he may accept whatever he wants to. The eyes of one who holds onto the After-effect-poise of Kriya do not blink (nimes). That is why he is called Animes. Those who walk on the earth and who fly in the sky, like renunciates and energetic beings, all are holding eight kinds of powers through earth, water, fire, air and ether. At the After-effect-poise (Turiya) of Kriya, one does not like to speak. He is Kapali, that is, He holds the air in the forehead (Kapal). He stays at Kailash Mountain, that is, at the head, at the After-effect-poise (Turiya) of Kriya like the ultimate Self. He is Guhavashi. That is, in the Star in between the eyebrows there is a cave where He lives. He is Kulahari. That is, He snatches away the energy of Kulakundalini. This body is the sound of OM or Pranava. Prana makes all beings tranquil by the practice of Kriya in this body. That is why it is called Pranava. This very breath is spread over in all bodies. That is why Mahadeva is all pervading and everywhere in all beings.

the maharishi of mt kailash book: At The Master's Feet and The Visions of Sadhu Sundar Singh of India Sadhu Sundar Singh, 2014-04-01 When the truths set forth in this book were revealed to me by the Master they deeply affected my life, and some of them have been used by me in my sermons and addresses in Europe, America, Africa, Australia, and Asia. At the request of many friends I have now gathered them together in this little book, and though it is possible that there are defects in setting them forth, I am sure that those who read them with prayer and an unprejudiced mind will benefit from them as I have. Sundar Singh was born into a Sikh family. His mother took him to sit at the feet of a sadhu while also sending him to Ewing Christian High School. Upon her death when he was fourteen he took out his anger on missionaries, persecuted Christian converts, and ridiculed their faith. Sundar resolved to kill himself but had a vision of Jesus and resolved to follow Christ. He was then denounced by his father and his brother attempted to poison him.

the maharishi of mt kailash book: Wild And Wilful Neha Sinha, 2021-02-10 A profound truth of the wild, and the world at large, is that we are a part of it, not owners of it. Is there any animal we love and hate as much as the Royal Bengal Tiger? Tigers are feared and poached, but they also endure, becoming pin-ups for candlelight marches. Indian elephants are trapped by railway lines and fences, but are reclaiming their bodies and colonizing new areas in central India. And in our dirty cities, the sparkling Plain Tiger Butterfly flourishes as one of our last links to wildlife. Wild animals exist beyond our control. They are harmless, only occasionally dangerous. They live with us, or in spite of us. Those who know them understand that wild animals require acceptance for what they are, not enslavement for what we want them to be. In this book, we meet fifteen iconic Indian species in need of conservation and heart. The author explores what these creatures need, and how they exert agency and decision-making. With an equal emphasis on human and animal, science and skilled prose, Wild and Wilful reveals the magic of the wild in our daily lives. It will take you from fear to wonder.

the maharishi of mt kailash book: Shaped in the Fire Mira McLaughlin, 2022-05-13 While walking through many trials of hardship, brokenness and shattered dreams, I found myself desperate to find the Lord on an intimate level. During that time, the scripture: “knock and the door will be opened, seek and you will find” became reality to me. I found myself in His constant presence, discovering life in the spirit. There in the fire where everything around me fell apart, Jesus met and drew me into His heart. No words can express the love I developed for the Lord. On this journey, I discovered a key that has the power to unveil the true identity inside of our being and to open our mind to true and hidden things of God’s Kingdom and – most importantly – to the greatest love affair with our Creator. Once we discover that we are not merely human but a spirit being and thus meant to live in the Spirit we cannot get enough of His presence because He becomes the very center of our existence. This key is the prayer language of the Holy Spirit, which has set me free, given me strength beyond my own understanding and still is opening my eyes to the spiritual reality more and more every day. It sets my heart on fire, burning with a holy desire for the holy God, the only true God. What an adventure awaits those who become one with the Holy Spirit and embrace Him fully.
