the invisible war book barnhouse: The Invisible War Chip Ingram, 2015-08-25 Some Christians believe strongly in the existence of demons and spiritual warfare. Others downplay or even ignore the idea. With such divergent views, how are Christians supposed to know the truth about demonic forces at work in this world? The Invisible War examines what every believer needs to know about Satan, demons, and spiritual warfare, offering a balanced look at this controversial subject. This provocative book will help Christians understand what the Bible says about these threats and will show them how they can safeguard themselves and their families through prayer. Now repackaged for a new generation, The Invisible War offers a balanced look at what is going on in the spiritual realm and what believers can do to defend themselves. |

the invisible war book barnhouse: Without Form and Void Arthur C Custance, 2008-08-01 Considered a classic in Christian apologetics, this scholarly analysis of the Biblical phrase without form and void, from the opening chapter of Genesis, observes the rules of linguistics, of grammar and syntax, and also examines how words are used in the rest of Scripture. This book has been described as the best argument that has ever been written for the Gap Theory. A well respected Canadian scientist himself, and listed in the 1971 American Men in Science, Dr. Custance contends that we should not allow science to determine what Scripture says. Neither should we allow Scripture to determine what the scientist observes in the laboratory. Yet observed fact in the one cannot, ultimately, conflict with revealed fact in the other. Any conflict, then, is in the interpretation of the facts - not in the facts themselves. |

the invisible war book barnhouse: Medieval Disability Sourcebook Cameron Hunt McNabb, 2020 The field of disability studies significantly contributes to contemporary discussions of the marginalization of and social justice for individuals with disabilities. However, what of disability in the past? The Medieval Disability Sourcebook: Western Europe explores what medieval texts have to say about disability, both in their own time and for the present. This interdisciplinary volume on medieval Europe combines historical records, medical texts, and religious accounts of saints' lives and miracles, as well as poetry, prose, drama, and manuscript images to demonstrate the varied and complicated attitudes medieval societies had about disability. Far from recording any monolithic understanding of disability in the Middle Ages, these contributions present a striking range of voices-to, from, and about those with disabilities-and such diversity only confirms how disability permeated (and permeates) every aspect of life. The Medieval Disability Sourcebook is designed for use inside the undergraduate or graduate classroom or by scholars interested in learning more about medieval Europe as it intersects with the field of disability studies. Most texts are presented in modern English, though some are preserved in Middle English and many are given in side-by-side translations for greater study. Each entry is prefaced with an academic introduction to disability within the text as well as a bibliography for further study. This sourcebook is the first in a proposed series focusing on disability in a wide range of premodern cultures, histories, and geographies. |

the invisible war book barnhouse: We Will Not Be Silenced Erwin W. Lutzer, 2020-10-13 “If I could, I would put this book into the hands of every Christian in America.” —Dr. David Jeremiah “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). Each day, you watch America turn further from Christian values and the core principles of liberty. It’s frustrating to feel you can’t assert biblical truth without facing condemnation, and fearful to witness outrage and victimhood replace respect and reason. Amidst this dissent, how can you not only stay rooted in your own faith, but continue publicly testifying for Jesus? In We Will Not Be Silenced, Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer prepares you to live out your convictions against a growing tide of hostility. Gain a better understanding of nonbelievers’ legitimate hurts and concerns regarding issues like racism, sexism, and poverty—and identify the toxic responses secular culture disguises as solutions. In the process, you’ll see how you can show compassion and gentleness to those outside of the faith without affirming their beliefs. We Will Not Be Silenced will ready you to move beyond fear and boldly accept the challenge of representing Christ to a watching world that needs Him now more than ever before. |

the invisible war book barnhouse: The Color of Welfare Jill Quadagno, 1996-04-11 Thirty years after Lyndon Johnson declared a War on Poverty, the United States still lags behind most Western democracies in national welfare systems, lacking such basic programs as national health insurance and child care support. Some critics have explained the failure of social programs by citing our tradition of individual freedom and libertarian values, while others point to weaknesses within the working class. In The Color of Welfare, Jill Quadagno takes exception to these claims, placing race at the center of the American Dilemma, as Swedish economist Gunnar Myrdal did half a century ago. The American creed of liberty, justice, and equality clashed with a history of active racial discrimination, says Quadagno. It is racism that has undermined the War on Poverty, and America must come to terms with this history if there is to be any hope of addressing welfare reform today. From Reconstruction to Lyndon Johnson and beyond, Quadagno reveals how American social policy has continually foundered on issues of race. Drawing on extensive primary research, Quadagno shows, for instance, how Roosevelt, in need of support from southern congressmen, excluded African Americans from the core programs of the Social Security Act. Turning to Lyndon Johnson's unconditional war on poverty, she contends that though anti-poverty programs for job training, community action, health care, housing, and education have accomplished much, they have not been fully realized because they became inextricably intertwined with the civil rights movement of the 1960s, which triggered a white backlash. Job training programs, for instance, became affirmative action programs, programs to improve housing became programs to integrate housing, programs that began as community action to upgrade the quality of life in the cities were taken over by local civil rights groups. This shift of emphasis eventually alienated white, working-class Americans, who had some of the same needs--for health care, subsidized housing, and job training opportunities--but who got very little from these programs. At the same time, affirmative action clashed openly with organized labor, and equal housing raised protests from the white suburban middle-class, who didn't want their neighborhoods integrated. Quadagno shows that Nixon, who initially supported many of Johnson's programs, eventually caught on that the white middle class was disenchanted. He realized that his grand plan for welfare reform, the Family Assistance Plan, threatened to undermine wages in the South and alienate the Republican party's new constituency--white, southern Democrats--and therefore dropped it. In the 1960s, the United States embarked on a journey to resolve the American dilemma. Yet instead of finally instituting full democratic rights for all its citizens, the policies enacted in that turbulent decade failed dismally. The Color of Welfare reveals the root cause of this failure--the inability to address racial inequality. |

the invisible war book barnhouse: Out of the Devil's Cauldron John Ramirez, 2012 Have you ever wondered if Satan is real? In his book Out of the Devil's Caldron: A Journey from Darkness to Light, John Ramirez tells the story of how he was trained to be the third-ranked high priest of a satanic cult in New York City-casting powerful witchcraft spells and controlling entire spiritual regions. But what started as a long spiral into the underworld ended in a miraculous encounter with Jesus Christ that changed the course of his life. Let John Ramirez walk you through the dark alleys of this world as he uncovers the hidden secrets of darkness through his powerful testimony. People from all ethnic backgrounds dabble in the occult and fall victim to this satanic underworld, never seeing the way out. John Ramirez is one in a million who made it out. John Ramirez's home church for the past nine years has been Times Square Church in New York, founded by David Wilkerson. John has been blessed with the opportunity not only to attend there and sit under the Word and mature spiritually, but the Lord opened the door through the security ministry to form a tight bond between him and Pastor Dave. For two and a half years John had the privilege and blessing to walk with Pastor Dave, and he became a spiritual father to John. He prayed with him, laid hands on him, and even read the manuscript of Out of the Devil's Cauldron before the book was published, giving his blessing. Pastor Dave was so touched by John's testimony that one night he brought him up on stage to have him share his story with the congregation. In the 1950s, Pastor Dave had a young Nicky Cruz in his life. When Nicky told Pastor Dave I will cut you into a thousand pieces, through the Holy Spirit Pastor Dave said, Nicky, if you cut me into a thousand pieces, all one thousand pieces would say 'Jesus loves you.' Many years later, David Wilkerson through the Holy Spirit said to John Ramirez, I see Jesus in you. And those words forever changed John's life, to go minister anywhere in the world. Today, John Ramirez says, Thank you, Pastor Dave, for seeing Jesus in me. John Ramirez is a sought-out speaker by many who want to hear of his involvement in the highest levels of the occult and how he got out. He speaks at churches, schools, rallies, and conferences--both secular and Christian--and has been a featured guest on TV and radio programs. He can be reached at JohnRamirez.org |

the invisible war book barnhouse: The Wrath of the Lamb! Stanley O. Lotegeluaki, 2012-05-04 SATAN AND HIS DEMONS THOUGHT THEY COULD DEFEAT GOD. WHEN THEY REBELLED AGAINST GOD, THEY NEVER KNEW THAT THEY WOULD END UP BEING BURNED ALIVE FOR 40 BILLION YEARS, THEN BURNED ALIVE IN THE LAKE OF FIRE FOREVER. SERVES THEM RIGHT FOR REFUSING GODS LOVE. JESUS CHRIST IS REALLY ALMIGHTY GOD, MIGHTY IN BATTLE. THE WRATH OF THE LAMB IS POURED OUT ON SATAN, HIS ANGELS AND 2.3 BILLION PEOPLE +/-. OR 1/3 OF THE EARTHS POPULATION. DURING THE SECOND COMING EVENT SATAN AND HIS DEMONS AND ANTICHRIST WILL BE THROWN INTO THE BOTTOMLESS PIT FOR BILLIONS OF YEARS, THEN THEY WILL BE TAKEN OUT FOR WWIII WHERE THE ANTCHRIST ANGEL WILL POSSES A DEADMANS BODY AND COME TO LIFE LIKE JESUS TO BE WORSHIPPED. MATHEW CHPT 24 IS A CONDITIONAL CHPT. IT DEPENDED ON THE CARCASE TO HAPPEN. THE CARCASE OF MT. 24:28 AND JESUS DECIDED THAT WWIII SHOULD OCCUR AFTER THE SECOND COMING, AFTER THE 1000 YR REIGN OF JESUS OR 40 BILLION YEARS FROM NOW. BUT JESUS THE KING OF PEACE WILL RETURN IN PEACE AT THE SECOND COMING, IN MY LIFETIME. MATHEW 24:21 WAR IS BROKEN BY MATHEW 24:28. READ MY OTHER BOOKS. Matthew 24:28:For wheresoever the Carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together The Eagles are Jesus and satan. They hover over a Carcase- a born again Christian who has died or crucified his flesh in the cross of Jesus ( Gospel of Paul in Romans). Every born again Christian is a Carcase, but this special individual was to welcome Christ. And the happenings of Mt 24 depended on his decisions and Christs decisions.(1.) Jesus deleted the war of the Second Coming and the Carcase agreed. Thats why there is no war before the Second Coming- it will be in 40 billion years. Second reason why WWIII is not now is. (2.)The sand of the sea in Revelation chpt 13:1 is time. Each grain is a year. How many grains on the seashore? Billions- so WWIII is billions of years away-(3.) Third reason. The universe will begin to implode in 40 billion yrs. The core of the imploding universe is called The Lake of fire.(II PETER 3:7) The Lake of fire existed during that time for the false prophet to be thrown in it. They co-existed. The only time WWIII can happen is when the Lake of fire existed. That can only happen in Blueshift- when this finite universe of ours is collapsing, around 40 billion A.D. . False prophet and Lake of fire- co-existed. So WWIII is 40 billion +/- years from now becuase it was fought when the Lake of fire existed and the false prophet existed. They co-existed. So there will be no war in our times. Thats why Jesus inserted Mt 24:28. but some Bibles say vultures and other strange stuff. Dont tamper with the Bible. THE REASON FOR ALL THE WILD WEATHER IN 2000+/-A.D IS BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST IS RETURNING SOON FOR THE SECOND COMING IS IN OUR GENERATION! ISAIAH 29: 6. Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire. |
the invisible war book barnhouse: The Second Coming of Jesus Christ Stanley Lotegeluaki, 2014-01-07 The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is close at hand. The last 2000 years has been the Tribulation. Soon in our generation, especially in my lifetime Jesus is coming back. I met Jesus on August 10th 2012. And I have a drawing that looks like Jesus that the Lord helped me to draw. It is a copy of Adolfo Simeione's work, an artist from Italy who was born in 1880 , he drew a real picture of Jesus without knowing it. Since I met Jesus, I drew a picture of Him using Adolfo Simeiones work. THE PICTURE ON THE COVER OF THIS BOOK PROVES TO THE WORLD THAT I MET JESUS AND ALL 50 OF MY BOOKS ARE ABOUT HIM- JESUS CHRIST, THE INTERGALACTIC SUPERSTAR- THE STARCHILD. When Jesus comes back, and if He looks like the picture on the cover of this book, that would prove that I met Him personally. There is no Rapture or war before the Second Coming. Isaiah chpt 22 put a curse on the visions of the Second Coming. Read this book to see the error that Theologians have made with the help of Satan in the last 500 years. Satan has been telling people when Jesus appears, that He will be the enemy. That's Satan entire defense. He does not want people to worship Jesus when He appears. Insane Theologians have been feeding the public with the wrong gospel of a preTribulation, Midtribulation, Post tribulation web of lies. Also Satan other defense against the Church is the pedophile scandal, that Jesus warned us about in Mathew chpt 18. Also the birth of Israel in 1948 proves that this is the last generation before the end where 1/3 of the human race is Taken to hell (psalm 110:6, Revelation chpt 9). Jesus will appear with all of His Angels and the Saints. He will at first live in The King David Hotel in Jerusalem. The Dome on the Rock will be removed and the Angels of Jesus Christ will rebuild the new Temple .. Mother Church and Jesus Christ will rule all the nations. The Star of David on the Israeli flag is really a Crown of Thorns. |
