surah al mutaffifin: The Meaning and Explanation of the Glorious Qur'an (Vol 10) Muhammad Saed Abdul-Rahman, 2009-10-29 This is the 2nd edition of volume 10 of the ten volumes of The Meaning And Explanation Of The Glorious Qur'an. The first edition of this book contained many formatting and typing errors. In this new edition, we have corrected all the errors found in the first edition. We have also re-arranged the structure of the book and added the full Arabic Text of the thirty Parts of the Qur'an. The reader is now able to read not only the meaning, the transliteration and the tafsir (explanation) of the Glorious Qur'an but also the full Arabic text as well. Our mission is to gather in one place, for the English-speaking public, all relevant information needed to make the Qur'an more understandable and easier to study. This book tries to do this by providing the following: 1. The Arabic Text for those who are able to read Arabic 2. Transliteration of the Arabic text for those who are unable to read the Arabic script. This will give them a sample of the sound of the Qur'an, which they could not otherwise comprehend from reading the English meaning. 3. The meaning of the qur'an (translated by Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali, Ph.D. and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan) 4. Background introductions by two famous Islamic scholars, Maududi and Ibn Kathir 5. Explanation (abridged Tafsir) by Ibn Kathir (translated by Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri) We hope that by doing this an ordinary English-speaker will be able to pick up a copy of this book and study and comprehend The Glorious Qur'an in a way that is acceptable to the understanding of the Rightly-guided Muslim Ummah (Community). |
surah al mutaffifin: Quran Talal Itani, 2014-08-17 Perhaps the best Quran English translation. It is clear, easy to read, and very faithful to the Arabic original. It closely follows the Arabic text, and often reminds the reader of the Arabic original. It uses today's English language, and today's English vocabulary, thus it is easy to read and understand. The flow is smooth, the sentence structure is simple, the meaning is clear. This Quran translation has no interpretations, no footnotes, and no explanations. It is a pure translation of the Quran, from Arabic to English, and it does not try to emphasize any school of thought. The text purely and accurately translates the Holy Quran, from Arabic, into contemporary English. It was translated by a Muslim, who saw firsthand the miracles inside the Quran. His native language is Arabic; his everyday language is American English. For 15 years, he studied the Quran. For many years, he translated speech between his mother and his wife. For a living, he develops quality software. This Quran translation is available in two editions. This edition (A) uses the word Allah to refer to the Creator. Edition (B) uses the word God. Quran Sura 91. The Sun. ash-Shams. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. 1. By the sun and its radiance. 2. And the moon as it follows it. 3. And the day as it reveals it. 4. And the night as it conceals it. 5. And the sky and He who built it. 6. And the earth and He who spread it. 7. And the soul and He who proportioned it. 8. And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness. 9. Successful is he who purifies it. 10. Failing is he who corrupts it. 11. Thamood denied in its pride. 12. When it followed its most wicked. 13. The messenger of Allah said to them, This is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink. 14. But they called him a liar, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin, and leveled it. 15. And He does not fear its sequel. The Quran is the last Book from the Creator. It contains guidance, mercy, and healing. The Quran is a blessing, within reach. |

surah al mutaffifin: A Tentative Guide to the Themes of the Surahs of the Qur'an H.R.H. Prince Ghazi Bin Muhammad, 2020 In this seminal work, the author suggests that each chapter of the Qur'an contains at least one distinct theme that underlies and shows the logical connection between every verse of that chapter. Moreover, he proposes that the chapters themselves take together make up a deliberate and unique portrait of human beings and of spiritual life. Finally, the author argues that the secrets to the themes are contained and shown in the hadith literature describing the spiritual rewards and effects (fada il) of various different chapters of the Qur'an. |

Discussions are made on these selected verses to prove how the Quran addresses the current political, economic and social problems that beleaguers the world today. surah al mutaffifin: A Thematic Commentary on the Qur’an Shaykh Muhammad al-Ghazali, 2005-01-01 In a multi-faith world, Islam is widely regarded as dogmatic and exclusivist. Yet in the Qur’an we have a great and worthy example of how to live in diversity, of powerful scriptural tenets that lend themselves precisely to engagement with those of other faiths. As such Islam has much to add to the debate on Religious Pluralism. For Muslims the issue is a delicate one. Aside from being tolerant and respectful of other faiths, advocating freedom of faith, and peaceful coexistence for all humanity, Muslims have to intellectually engage on matters of religious truth whilst defending the validity of their own Islamic tenets. This study is focused on the Qur’anic text. It explores the Qur’anic conception of normative religious pluralism with a view to providing answers to questions such as whether the Qur’an itself regards normative religious pluralism as a value system or simply a method through which the Qur’anic world view can be actualized. In doing so the author corrects some highly controversial misquoted, mistranslated, and/or quoted out of context verses of the Qur’an, including the so-called verse of the sword and the perception of not taking non-Muslims as friends. In reality, the Qur’an calls for freedom of faith and peaceful coexistence, but condemns oppression, religious persecution, and those who initiate hostilities. In this way it not only invokes human dignity, but restores it when it is violated. |
surah al mutaffifin: Shawāhid al-Tanzīl li Qawāʿid al-Tafḍīl Al-Ḥākim Al-Ḥaskān, 2022-07-17 the book Shawāhid al-Tanzīl li Qawāʿid al-Tafḍīl written by al-Ḥākim al-Ḥaskānī (d. 490 AH), is one of the most comprehensive books written on this subject. In this book, which is in the order of the Surahs of the Qur’an, more than 200 verses have been mentioned in connection with the merits of Imam Ali, and after each verse, one or more narrations from the eminent Companions of the Prophet have been quoted. The total number of narrations in this book is 1160. Al-Ḥākim al-Ḥaskānī is one of the most prominent Sunni scholars in the fifth century AH and was proficient in ḥadīth and rijāl, as confirmed by al-Dhahabi1 among others. As the author explains in the introduction, his motivation for writing this book was the baseless claim that no verse in the Qur’an was revealed about Imam Ali. So he proceeded to compile this book, in which he has quoted all the verses revealed about the Ahl al-Bayt in general and Imam Ali in particular, or interpreted as being in reference to them. |

surah al mutaffifin: Gateway to the Qur'anic Sciences AL AD-DN ARQAHUDAN., 2021 Allah describes the Qurʾān as the ‘guidance to mankind, and the Criterion (of right and wrong)’ (2:185). Islamic scholars have therefore sought to explain the sciences associated with correctly understanding the revelation. This discipline has come to be known as ʿulūm al-Qurʾān, or ‘sciences of the Qurʾān’, and includes many subjects, such as the nature and order of revelation, explanations of the types of expressions used in the revelation and how the sacred text is to be correctly recited. Imam Jalāl ad-Dīn as-Suyūṭī wrote one of the leading comprehensive manuals on ʿulūm al-Qurʾān, entitled al-Itqān fī ʿUlūm al-Qurʾān. The text here translated is a summary by Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Arqahudān of many major topics covered in the Itqān. |

surah al mutaffifin: Christianity and the Triumph of Humor Bernard Schweizer, 2019-07-17 This book traces the development of religious comedy and leverages that history to justify today’s uses of religious humor in all of its manifestations, including irreverent jokes. It argues that regulating humor is futile and counterproductive, illustrating this point with a host of comedic examples. Humor is a powerful rhetorical tool for those who advocate and for those who satirize religious ideals. The book presents a compelling argument about the centrality of humor to the story of Western Christianity’s cultural and artistic development since the Middle Ages, taking a multi-disciplinary approach that combines literary criticism, religious studies, philosophy, theology, and social science. After laying out the conceptual framework in Part 1, Part 2 analyzes key works of religious comedy across the ages from Dante to the present, and it samples the breadth of contemporary religious humor from Brad Stine to Robin Williams, and from Monty Python to South Park. Using critical, historical, and conceptual lenses, the book exposes and overturns past attempts by church authorities, scholars, and commentators to limit and control laughter based on religious, ideological, or moral criteria. This is a unique look into the role of humor and comedy around religion. It will, therefore, appeal to readers interested in multiple fields of inquiry, including religious studies, humor studies, the history of ideas, and comparative literature. |

surah al mutaffifin: The Division By Division English Interpretation of THE QUR’AN in The Order of Revelation Hakkı Yılmaz, If you wish to have this book as paperback, you can get in touch with info@quraninenglish.net. Web Sites: https://www.quraninenglish.net/ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzuPsekljGMNgVGEoSGyNvRbj1-6gH438 I hereby seek refuge in Allah from thinking ability; its allurement, its enticement and its deception for this work of mine which I have done to recite and comprehend the Qur’an in its original Arabic form then interpret what I have understood in English. While being incapable of praising as deep as we should, I offer to Allah, Rabb of all worlds, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, all my compliments that I can come up with and conceive with my humble thinking ability, and I offer my sincerest gratitude to Him for bestowing me, this humble, poor and servile one, His blessings and felicity to offer the reciters an English interpretation of the Qur’an. I entreat our Great Rabb to look after, protect and support us together with all the people who serve for the religion of Allah, as He did for His prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), his family and companions. In this work of mine, in which I have striven to comprehend the messages of our Rabb plainly and offer to all people, I have not sought for anything except than the countenance of Allah. Due to our weakness and our comprehension is limited, there are definitely deficiencies. However, my Rabb is witness that no wrong has been done intentionally. Therefore, I hope that our great Rabb forgives me. This interpretation that is presented here is a result of the analyses that were meticulously conducted by taking into account the ancient Arabic Language (with its vocabulary, grammar and literature) and the unity of the Qur’an. Evidences, sources and justifications relevant to this interpretation that we present are available in our work titled as Tebyinu’l Qur’an. Our readers who wish to get detailed information, review and examine our works, they can see these in Tebyinu’l Qur’an that has been published as 8 volumes or in our websites. The religion of Islam is, as the meaning, “The religion that strengthens people’’ [the set of principles that keep people away from the things like problems, sorrows, wars, weaknesses, spiritual illnesses, unhappiness and similar things and that ensure safety and security]. The religion of Islam taught in the Qur’an in fact distances people and societies from problems, fears, unhappiness, quarrels, wars and similar negative things. All the principles in the Qur’an are for the health, happiness and peaceful living of humanity. The name of the religion that Allah sent with Adam, Noah, …Abraham, …Moses, Jesus and Muhammad is İslam. The only source of the religion of İslam is the Qur’an. Some people and communities known as Muslims on earth adopted the views and understandings of some others as a religion by leaving the original messages of the Qur’an. Hence, intolerable problems among themselves and in their relations with non-Muslims have emerged and still continue to emerge. Islam expounded by the Qur’an is very different from what it appears, particularly what the non-Muslims see on those people who claim to be Muslims. When you read the English interpretation of the Qur’an which is the source the religion of İslam, you will know the Qur’an and the religion of İslam more closely. |

surah al mutaffifin: Bedeviled Dunja Rašić, 2024-03-01 Ghouls, ifrits, and a panoply of other jinn have long haunted Muslim cultures and societies. These also include jinn doppelgangers (qarīn, pl. quranāʾ), the little-studied and much-feared denizens of the hearts and blood of humans. This book seeks out jinn doppelgangers in the Islamic normative tradition, philosophy, folklore, and Sufi literature, with special emphasis on Akbarian Sufism. Muḥyī al-Dīn Ibn ʿArabī (d. 1240) wrote on jinn in substantial detail, uncovering the physiognomy, culture, and behavior of this unseen species. Akbarians believed that the good God assigned each human with an evil doppelganger. Ibn ʿArabī’s reasoning as to why this was the case mirrors his attempts to expound the problem of evil in Islamic religious philosophy. No other Sufi, Ibn ʿArabī claimed, ever managed to get to the heart of this matter before him. As well as offering the reader knowledge and safety from evil, Ibn ʿArabī’s writings on jinnealogy tackle the even larger issues of spiritual ascension, predestination, and the human relationship to the Divine. |

surah al mutaffifin: The Aquarian Message Samael Aun Weor, 2025-01-01 Everyone has heard of symbols from the Revelation or Apocalypse of John, such as the Antichrist, the number 666, Armageddon, the end of days, the Rapture, the Second Coming, the four horsemen, and more. For centuries, Revelation has remained the most mysterious and interesting scripture of Christianity, filled with haunting imagery, powerful dramatic events, and frightening warnings for humanity, yet its true meanings were never permitted to be be revealed. John, an initiate of secret, esoteric Christianity, placed these cryptic symbols in Revelation as a time capsule to be opened on a future day, and in spite of countless theories and beliefs, the secrets of Revelation have been preserved behind their arcane language, awaiting the moment when they are most needed by humanity. That day has arrived. For the first time, the hidden secrets of Revelation are made clear and accessible to anyone. In The Aquarian Message, Samael Aun Weor shows how everything in Revelation and Christianity is based on Kabbalah (of which Jesus was a master), esoteric Christianity, alchemy, Tarot, and other ancient sciences. In this book you will discover that every symbol in Revelation is about you, your spiritual state, and the future it is taking you towards. You will discover how through deep personal change you can escape suffering and the approaching cataclysms, and instead enter into a superior level of experience. What John hid in Revelation was not something to believe, but something to experience for oneself. Now, with the practical teachings given in The Aquarian Message, you can. We have studied the verses of the book of Revelation (Apocalypse) in the Superior Worlds. We give the result of our investigations in this book. Much has been said and written about the Apocalypse. However, only intellectual speculations have been made and the words of various authorities have been repeated. The present work is the result of tremendous esoteric investigations that were patiently performed by us in the Superior Worlds. We have found the Apocalypse to be divided into three parts: the first we have entitled The Son of Man, the second The Sealed Book and the third The New Jerusalem. The first part teaches the Path of the Razor's Edge. The second is related with the times of the end. The third tells us of the future earth. This is a book of practical christification. This is a book of transcendental esotericism and it is absolutely practical. –Samael Aun Weor |

surah al mutaffifin: The Miraculous Language of the Qur'an: Evidence of Divine Origin Bassam Saeh, 2015-01-12 This study illustrates why the language of the Qur'an is miraculous, unique, and evidence of divine authority. The author compares the language of the Qur'an with the language of pre-Islamic poetry, the Prophet's words (hadith), and the language of the Arabs both past and present, to demonstrate that although the Qur'an was revealed in Arabic it was at the same time an Arabic which was entirely new. Original and early Muslim audiences viewed this as miraculous and responded to the Qur'an's words, sounds, rhythms, etc. in a manner consistent with a deeper appreciation of its beauty and majesty which modern ears, trained by familiarity, and despite being surrounded by all manner of dictionaries and studies, are at a loss to capture. The author attempts to remove this veil and present the Qur'an to readers as if hearing it for the first time, to bring to life some of this wonder. In doing so he guides readers to appreciate the beauty of the Qur'an, to become more immersed in it, and to have a clearer understanding of its structure and flow. Devoting special attention to Surah Al Muddaththir, to underpin his analysis, Saeh thus brings the Revelation to life, to demonstrate that each surah has distinct features and characteristics that make it stand out uniquely within the design and sweep of the whole. |
surah al mutaffifin: The Leadership of Muhammad Joel Hayward, 2022-03-10 Given Prophet Muhammad’s (s) immense impact on history, there are surprisingly few books that specifically analyse his leadership. The few that exist maintain that Muhammad was a wonderful leader because he was a wonderful man; that is, he succeeded in his mission because of his superior morality and personal qualities. Although it is widely agreed that Muhammad was a moral and decent man, this explanation seems incomplete and almost inadequate. Joel Hayward approaches the Prophet’s leadership from a different vantage point by scrutinising ancient sources to ascertain whether Muhammad’s conscious actions, behaviour, and methods can provide any substantial and meaningful insights about the effectiveness of his strategic leadership. Through meticulous research and rigorous analysis, Hayward demonstrates that Muhammad was an uncommonly astute and self-reflective man with the ability to create and communicate a believable strategic vision of a necessary and desirable future. This engaging yet deeply scholarly book makes a major contribution to both leadership studies and the Prophet’s biography |
surah al mutaffifin: Islamic Counselling G. Hussein Rassool, 2015-07-16 Islamic counselling is a form of counselling which incorporates spirituality into the therapeutic process. Until now there has been little material available on the subject with no one agreed definition of Islamic counselling and what it involves. There has also been a rapidly growing population of Muslims in Western societies with a corresponding rise in need of psychological and counselling services. Islamic Counselling: An Introduction to theory and practice presents a basic understanding of Islamic counselling for counsellors and Islamic counsellors, and provides an understanding of counselling approaches congruent with Islamic beliefs and practices from a faith-based perspective. The book is designed as an introduction for counsellors, its goal is to inform the reader about how the diverse roles of the Islamic counsellor fit together in a comprehensive way and to provide the guidelines that can be potentially integrated into a theoretical framework for use. The book is divided into two parts. Section one: Context and Background, and Section two: Assessment, Models and Intervention Strategies. Islamic Counselling encompasses both current theory, research and an awareness of the practice implications in delivering appropriate and effective counselling interventions with Muslim clients. It will be essential reading for both professionals and students alike. |
