surah al baqarah: Quran Talal Itani, 2014-08-17 Perhaps the best Quran English translation. It is clear, easy to read, and very faithful to the Arabic original. It closely follows the Arabic text, and often reminds the reader of the Arabic original. It uses today's English language, and today's English vocabulary, thus it is easy to read and understand. The flow is smooth, the sentence structure is simple, the meaning is clear. This Quran translation has no interpretations, no footnotes, and no explanations. It is a pure translation of the Quran, from Arabic to English, and it does not try to emphasize any school of thought. The text purely and accurately translates the Holy Quran, from Arabic, into contemporary English. It was translated by a Muslim, who saw firsthand the miracles inside the Quran. His native language is Arabic; his everyday language is American English. For 15 years, he studied the Quran. For many years, he translated speech between his mother and his wife. For a living, he develops quality software. This Quran translation is available in two editions. This edition (A) uses the word Allah to refer to the Creator. Edition (B) uses the word God. Quran Sura 91. The Sun. ash-Shams. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. 1. By the sun and its radiance. 2. And the moon as it follows it. 3. And the day as it reveals it. 4. And the night as it conceals it. 5. And the sky and He who built it. 6. And the earth and He who spread it. 7. And the soul and He who proportioned it. 8. And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness. 9. Successful is he who purifies it. 10. Failing is he who corrupts it. 11. Thamood denied in its pride. 12. When it followed its most wicked. 13. The messenger of Allah said to them, This is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink. 14. But they called him a liar, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin, and leveled it. 15. And He does not fear its sequel. The Quran is the last Book from the Creator. It contains guidance, mercy, and healing. The Quran is a blessing, within reach.

surah al baqarah: The Translation of Surah Al-Fatihah & Surah Al-Baqarah English Edition Muhammad Vandestra, 2018-07-25 The Translation & The Meaning of Surah Al-Fatihah & Surah Al-Baqarah from The Holy Quran In English Languange Color Version. Sūrat al-Fātiḥah (Arabic: سُورَةُ الْفَاتِحَة ) is the first chapter (surah) of the Quran. Its seven verses (ayat) are a prayer for the guidance, lordship and mercy of God. This chapter has an essential role in Islamic prayer (salāt). The primary literal meaning of the expression al-Fātiḥah is The Opener, which could refer to this Surah being the opener of the Book (Fātiḥat al-kitāb), to its being the first Surah recited in full in every prayer cycle (rakʿah), or to the manner in which it serves as an opening for many functions in everyday Islamic life. Some Muslims interpret it as a reference to an implied ability of the Surah to open a person to faith in God The name al-Fātiḥah (the Opener) is due to the subject-matter of the surah. Fātiḥah is that which opens a subject or a book or any other thing. It is also called Umm Al-Kitab (the Mother of the Book) and Umm Al-Quran (the Mother of the Quran); Sab'a al Mathani (Seven repeated [verses], an appellation taken from verse 15:87 of the Quran); Al-Hamd (praise), because a hadith narrates Prophet Muhammad SAW as having said: The prayer [al-Fātiḥah] is divided into two halves between Me and My servants. When the servant says, 'All praise is due to God', the Lord of existence, God says, 'My servant has praised Me'.; Al-Shifa' (the Cure), because a hadith narrates Muhammad as having said: The Opening of the Book is a cure for every poison., Al-Ruqyah (remedy or spiritual cure)., and al-Asas, The Foundation, referring to its serving as a foundation for the entire Quran. Sūrah al-Baqarah or The Cow is the second and longest chapter (Surah) of the Qur'an. It consists of 286 verses, 6201 words and 25500 letters (Ibn Kathir). It is a Mediniite surah, that is to say that it was revealed at Medina after the Hijrah, with the exception of a few verses.

The Endless Banquet was written in the hope that the Qur'an may open the hearts of all who read it, and to help you become inspired by its meanings, its relevance to the present day, and its connections to the human condition and to your own life. The Endless Banquet will help you to rekindle your love for the Qur'an, if Allah wills.
surah al baqarah: The Quran Explained: Surah 2 Al-Baqarah Islamic Foundation, 2016-10-24 The Quran is the definitive Word of Allah, revealed to Prophet Muhammad [PBUH]. It is the duty of every person to read, comprehend and implement The Quran into their daily lives. Surah 2 Al-Baqarah is the longest Surah in The Quran.A hadith states: Everything has a hump (or, high peak), and Al-Baqarah is the high peak of the Qur'an. Whoever recites Al-Baqarah at night in his house, Shaytan will not enter that house for three nights. Whoever recites it during the day in his house, then Shaytan will not enter that house for three days.Another hadith states: Learn Surah Al-Baqarah and Al-'Imran because they are two lights and they shade their people on the Day of Resurrection, just as two clouds, two spaces of shade or two lines of (flying) birds. The Qur'an will meet its companion in the shape of a pale-faced man on the Day of Resurrection when his grave is opened. The Qur'an will ask him: 'Do you know me?' The man will say: 'I do not know you.' The Qur'an will say: 'I am your companion, the Qur'an, which has brought you thirst during the heat and made you stay up during the night. Every merchant has his certain trade. But, this Day, you are behind all types of trade.' Kingship will then be given to him in his right hand, eternal life in his left hand and the crown of grace will be placed on his head. His parents will also be granted two garments that the people of this life could never afford. They will say: 'Why were we granted these garments?' It will be said: 'Because your son was carrying the Qur'an.' It will be said (to the reader of the Qur'an): 'Read and ascend through the levels of Paradise.' He will go on ascending as long as he recites, whether reciting slowly or quickly.

surah al baqarah: The Meaning and Explanation of the Glorious Qur'an (Vol 10) Muhammad Saed Abdul-Rahman, 2009-10-29 This is the 2nd edition of volume 10 of the ten volumes of The Meaning And Explanation Of The Glorious Qur'an. The first edition of this book contained many formatting and typing errors. In this new edition, we have corrected all the errors found in the first edition. We have also re-arranged the structure of the book and added the full Arabic Text of the thirty Parts of the Qur'an. The reader is now able to read not only the meaning, the transliteration and the tafsir (explanation) of the Glorious Qur'an but also the full Arabic text as well. Our mission is to gather in one place, for the English-speaking public, all relevant information needed to make the Qur'an more understandable and easier to study. This book tries to do this by providing the following: 1. The Arabic Text for those who are able to read Arabic 2. Transliteration of the Arabic text for those who are unable to read the Arabic script. This will give them a sample of the sound of the Qur'an, which they could not otherwise comprehend from reading the English meaning. 3. The meaning of the qur'an (translated by Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali, Ph.D. and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan) 4. Background introductions by two famous Islamic scholars, Maududi and Ibn Kathir 5. Explanation (abridged Tafsir) by Ibn Kathir (translated by Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri) We hope that by doing this an ordinary English-speaker will be able to pick up a copy of this book and study and comprehend The Glorious Qur'an in a way that is acceptable to the understanding of the Rightly-guided Muslim Ummah (Community).

surah al baqarah: The Qur'an and Its Interpreters , Volume 1 Mahmoud Ayoub, 1984-01-01 The Qur'an and Its Interpreters introduces the Western reader to the Qur'an as Muslims have understood it. The record of the Qur'an in the community as a force shaping the life of Muslims can be most clearly discerned through the vast literature of interpretation known as tafsir. This multivolume work is based on a large number of tafsir sources, representing all the major religious schools and stages of Muslim history for the last one thousand years. It will cover the entire Qur'an. This first volume consists of an introduction to the science and sources of interpretation of the Qur'an and the first two surahs of the Qur'an. The treatment is comprehensive and thorough. While the work is based entirely on primary sources, this volume includes a substantial bibliography of works on the Qur'an in Western languages. The Qur'an is the word of God as it was revealed to the prophet Muhammad, interiorized by the community, then shaped into an earthly book whose original archetype is with God. Dr. Ayoub concerns himself not with the history of the Qur'an, but with the way it was collected and fixed into an official codex, the recension of which has voiced the community's prayers and devotions, set its legal norms and moral standards, and occupied its best minds for more than thirteen hundred years.

By explaining the context of revelation, Understanding Surah al-Baqarah seeks to draw important lessons and explore a wide variety of subjects that are of significant relevance to contemporary Muslims. The book discusses fascinating concepts such as male-dominated interpretations of the Quran, gender relations, the need to prefer the spirit of the law, religious pluralism, Muslim sectarianism, anthropomorphic interpretations of the Quran, and the role of free will and determinism in the way God guides his creation. How did a cow solve a murder? What happened when Iblis refused to prostrate to Adam? Why and how did the direction of prayer change? Can people still go to heaven after abandoning Islam? How does a person lose their faith? How can tyrants be topped by great faith? Find out the answers and much more.   surah al baqarah: A Collection Of Wise Sayings Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, 2021-07-10 This book, Al-Fawa'id: A Collection Of Wise Sayings is one the well-known compilations of Imam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya, who is well known by the name Ibn Al-Qayim (may Allah have mercy upon him). This blessed book is not like others that simply contain sections, chapters and themes, but it consists of the elevated thoughts that Allah, Exalted be He, bestows upon some of His servants as he wills. So whenever any of these scattered pearls of wisdom occurred to the Imam, he would immediately record them. Whenever something came to his mind, he would record it, and whenever he learned a lesson or anything crucial in his life, he would illuminate the lines of his page with the ink of his pen. This book consists of landmarks of guidance and light, and the firebrands of piety that Ibn Al-Qayyim pondered in the fields of piety, asceticism and vivid exhortation towards the truth. He focuses on the role and duty of the hearts, and makes them clear to us to the extent that we are moved and motivated to learn and practice them. He explains to us the diseases of the heart so we may know how to avoid and overcome them.

surah al baqarah: God's Universal Foundation Dc. Charif Noureddine, 2024-01-18 As for the universe, some scientists compare it today to a curved sheet or plate. They say the universe has a specific density in the distribution of matter through it. This density makes it more like a slightly curved sheet, which means being flat. Then this universe, at the end of its life, will fold itself as it folds this paper. It will close and return as it began. They call it the theory of the recurring universe, which means that it starts from one point, then expands, then returns and shrinks on itself and returns as it began. Then why do we believe in this speech? Because God almighty says, The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it. Those who believe in this theory use the word repeat, the same Koranic word used by scholars to express the end of the universe and the re-creation.

surah al baqarah: Characteristics of the Hypocrites Ibn Qayyim, Ibn Kathir, 2018-10-12 In the Qur'an, Allah has revealed the machinations of the hypocrites, He has unveiled their beliefs, their qualities, and made their goals clear so that the believers can be aware of them. He divided mankind into three groups in the beginning of Surah al-Baqarah: the believer, the disbeliever, and the hypocrite. He mentioned four verses concerning the believers, two verses concerning the disbelievers, and thirteen verses concerning the hypocrites due to their plenitude and the great harm and tribulation they bring to Islam and the Muslims. The harm they cause to Islam is truly severe for they claim to be Muslims, they claim to aid and support Islam, whereas in reality they are its enemies seeking to destroy it from within, covertly spreading their corruption and ignorance such that the unwary thinks that what they are upon is knowledge and right action.

surah al baqarah: Heart Softeners Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen, 2018-11 In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Most Compassionate. Praise to the One Who completed this religion and sent guidance through His Messenger salAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam. To begin: Every so often our daily lives preoccupy us and turn us away from Allah's promise. When we walk out of our homes, turn on the radio, TV, or Internet, we are distracted by the evils we see and hear. As result of immorality and unashamed disobedience, our hearts grow hard and distant from Allah and His Messenger's call. We know the message of Islam is true, but we are weak due to the rigidity of our heart, spirit and mind. In times like these, we need something to penetrate that stiffness. We need a remedy to soften that hardness and the inflexibility of our choices. Disunity and harshness afflicts this Ummah today. Consequently, many people have turned away from brotherhood, caring, and even Islam itself. Their hearts have transformed into dwellings of complete hatred for a sinner, disdain toward the weak Muslim, and jealousy of their successful brother or sister.I have selected some ahaadeeth from the most authentic book after the Qur'aan to soften the hearts in our chests. I used Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih Al-'Uthaymeen's explanations for the ahaadeeth selected. The ahaadeeth selected come from a book in Imam Al-Bukhari's collection titled Riqaq: Heart Softeners. This chapter brings tears to one's eyes, fear to one's mind, and most importantly it diminishes the rigidity in one's heart. I ask Allah to make the translation and compilation solely for His pleasure. I pray to Allah for acceptance of this deed and His mercy in the Hereafter.Abu Aaliyah Abdullah ibn Dwight Battle Ramadan 18th, 1433Doha, Qatar (c)
