Advanced nuclear technologies such as nuclear submarines, aircraft carriers, ballistic missile defence systems (BMDs), multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicles (MIRVs), anti-satellite weapons (ASAT); and disruptive technologies such as hypersonic weapons, artificial intelligence (AI), lethal autonomous weapons (LAWs), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) / drones and space-based and cyber technologies have all complicated crisis dynamics and the domain of warfare in the region. Further, the employment of India’s compellence strategy is an indication of a change in its stance that demonstrates smart/surgical strikes are now more likely. It considers all kinds of false information as fake news or misinformation and uses the terms fake news and misinformation interchangeably, in text, images, audio and video. The primary purpose is to provide a foundation for the problems of misinformation or false content detection including various challenges and approaches to solve them. The book starts with an overall description of misinformation. It briefly introduces the history, various issues or challenges, reasons for creating and spreading misinformation, and its impact on individuals and society. The second chapter discusses prior works on misinformation detection and explores various datasets, recent advancements, and state-of-the-art mechanisms. Chapter three demonstrates that the presence of surprising content in a story draws instant attention and appeals to strong emotional stimuli, and subsequently explores the application of novelty and emotion in the misinformation detection domain. Next, chapter four first introduces multitasking and discusses its advantages, before developing a framework for joint learning of interrelated tasks such as emotion recognition, novelty detection, and misinformation detection. The fifth chapter explores various datasets and mechanisms leveraging multimodal information, and eventually explains the fusion mechanisms of text and image modalities to obtain an efficient multimodal feature that ultimately helps to classify multimedia fake news. Chapter six discusses how novelty and emotion can be helpful in multimodal misinformation detection. It shows that detecting misleading information is difficult without earlier knowledge about that particular news and explores the possible solutions to tackle this problem. Eventually, chapter seven introduces the concept of multilingualism and implements an effective neural model to detectfabricated multilingual information, which overcomes the research and development gap in misinformation detection for regional languages. | saima aman: Zina, Transnational Feminism, and the Moral Regulation of Pakistani Women Shahnaz Khan, 2011-11-01 The Zina Ordinance is part of the Hadood Ordinances that were promulgated in 1979 by the military dictator General Zia-ul-Haq, a self-proclaimed president of Pakistan. Since then, tens of thousands of Pakistani women have been charged and incarcerated under the ordinance, which governs illicit sex. Although most of these women are subsequently released for lack of evidence, they spend months or years in jail before trial. To date, these laws still remain in effect, despite international calls for their repeal. Over a five-year-period, Shahnaz Khan interviewed women incarcerated under the zina laws in Pakistan. She argues that the zina laws help situate morality within the individual, thus de-emphasizing the prevalence of societal injustice. She also examines the production and reception of knowledge in the west about women in the third world, identifying a productive tension between living in the west and doing research in the third world. She concludes that transnational feminist solidarity can help women identify the linkages between the local and global and challenge oppressive practices internationally. This analysis will appeal to scholars and students of gender, law, human rights, and Islamic/Middle Eastern studies. |

| saima aman: Neutrosophic Set Approach to Algebraic Structures Madad Khan, Florentin Smarandache, Saima Anis, Fazal Tahir, This book consists of seven chapters. In chapter one we introduced neutrosophic ideals (bi, quasi, interior, (m,n) ideals) and discussed the properties of these ideals. Moreover, we characterized regular and intra-regular AG-groupoids using these ideals. In chapter two we introduced neutrosophic minimal ideals in AG-groupoids and discussed several properties. In chapter three, we introduced different neutrosophic regularities of AG-groupoids. Further we discussed several condition where these classes are equivalent. In chapter four, we introduced neutrosophic M-systems and neutrosophic p-systems in non-associative algebraic structure and discussed their relations with neutrosophic ideals. In chapter five, we introduced neutrosophic strongly regular AG-groupoids and characterized this structure using neutrosophic ideals. In chapter six, we introduced the concept of neutrosophic ideal, neutrosophic prime ideal, neutrosophic bi-ideal and neutrosophic quasi ideal of a neutrosophic semigroup. With counter example we have shown that the union and product of two neutrosophic quasi-ideals of a neutrosophic semigroup need not be a neutrosophic quasi-ideal of neutrosophic semigroup. We have also shown that every neutrosophic bi-ideal of a neutrosophic semigroup need not be a neutrosophic quasi-ideal of a neutrosophic semigroup. We have also characterized the regularity and intra-regularity of a neutrosophic semigroup. In chapter seven, we introduced neutrosophic left almost rings and discussed several properties using their neutrosophic ideals. I was looking for people who could help in developing my taste further and on being recommended I went to visit M. A Sheikh who had an office in the basement of Radio Pakistan Lahore. With regular visits I came to know of the setting up of the Classical Music Cell and its dramatic downturn in fortune with the change of government. The Classical Music Research Cell had been shut down after martial law had been imposed in nineteen seventy seven as an unnecessary drain on the national expenditure. Since the hired premises had to be vacated the question remained as to what was to become of the music, manuscripts, books and some equipment which had been collected so assiduously in the past year. It was lugged from one premise to another till finally a more permanent place in the basement of the Lahore Radio Station was settled for. During this series of very grave crises a small team maneuvered to ward off all the palpable threats. These few individuals had as if almost vowed not to let the Cell be closed down or fall in UN deserving hands. Principally through M.A.Sheikh’s efforts it managed to survive. I gradually came to appreciate the work being done by M.A Sheikh who really toiled for years in conditions which were far from ideal to save the collection of recorded material and the many rare and invaluable manuscripts which had been collected over time. . |
