The first movement is described Un Poco Vivaldi; its theme being a travesty of the main subject from the most hackneyed of Antonio Vivaldi's violin concertos. Around this parodistic quotation of the theme, Kaminski builds a movement full of spirited development. He follows this with an improvvisazione, a sliow lyrical movement, in which the solo instrument enters and closes with a cadenza that has a liturgical touch and is answered by the orchestral choir with an Amen like response.
