Some data support that health coaching increases patient capacity to self-management of their chronic conditions. Motivational interviewing reinforces decision-making capacity, reduces ambivalence regarding to the medication and plays an important role in the treatment of additions. Coaching applied for psychiatric population in recovery phase, helps the patient to visualize their current reality more clearly, as well as to activate resources and to mobilize them for action to achieve a post-recovery life plan with structuring, functional and environmental objectives (family, employment, relationship, communication).
