Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) is one such disorder. OCPD is generally defined as a preoccupation with the strict compliance of rigid guidelines and rules of behavior. It affects about 1 in every 100 people and is diagnosed twice as often in males as compared to females. OCPD usually becomes noticeable in early adulthood but it may be developed starting in early childhood to late adolescence. However, there are critical differences between OCPD and OCD that distinguishes the former from the latter.
