But through this teaching, we start learning what it is we must do to live financially free from debt and unemployment. Here is what Pastor Gary said: Fight Like Heaven well that's a great title and Pastor Drenda my wife, talks about standing up for yourself, your family, and your finances. But you have to know how to fight like heaven. In other words, how do you fight like heaven? The enemy has some tactics and he's going to try to trap your finances. You have a sword remember Ephesians 6:17 says that we must take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. You need to know how to take that sword and use it. I want to go back to Luke 4 with you for a moment, remember in Luke chapter 4 Jesus just came out of the River Jordan baptized by the Holy Spirit, and in the first verse it has an interesting phrase that used to confuse me. It says that the spirit of God led Jesus Into the Wilderness to be tempted by the devil, and for a long time I thought that this is one of the weirdest scriptures I've ever read. I want to look at the Temptations that Jesus had to fight against because that is going to help us fight like heaven for our finances. |
