This is a response to ongoing challenges associated with environmental impacts, food security, workplace attractiveness, changing knowledge and advisory systems, farmer well-being, and technological change. Transformative technology and practices advocated by scholars and policy makers include digitalization and automation, agroecological systems, diversification, de-intensification, local food systems, circularity, transformative value chains and land-use change. These changed practices ultimately need to be implemented at a farm scale, but the implications will ripple through regional and global food systems. The potential role of transformative agricultural technologies and practices in sustainability transitions is widely researched. However, greater focus is required on the ‘real-world’ implications at a farm-system level, and the positive and negative effects of change in the livelihoods of those being urged to change (i.e. farmers, farm businesses and supply chains). At the farm level, transformation can be a complex process that intersects land, livelihoods, and security of the wider food supply system. As a consequence, theoretical concepts of transformation to achieve more sustainable food systems can be difficult to implement for farmers due to unforeseen interactions and implications. Better understanding of these experiences is needed for effective and viable transformation options to progress environmental, social and economic sustainability. |

In contrast to companies of other critical infrastructures, a typical farm is comparatively small and often runs as a family business. Accordingly, the demands on farming technology, its implementation, and regulations are different in many terms. Currently, a promising technological trend of agriculture is smart farming, that incorporates more precise cultivation with less manual effort. But such new developments usually lack an assessment about its impact on the sector's resilience and dependencies on other infrastructures. It remains unclear, how digitalization impacts the resilience of food production and food safety. Therefore, it is not well researched which technological developments may lead to undesired effects in the future. How modern systems should be designed to allow for both, positive impacts on efficiency, and prevention of negative effects interms of reduced resilience capacities, is also not answered by current literature. The aim of the work is to close this research gap in the interplay between agriculture, digitalization, and resilience. |

Since independence, major strides have been made in production of food grains, not only due to increase in area but also due to technology. As a result, the food grains production increased from 50.82 million tonnes in 1950-51 to 328.85 million tonnes in 2023-24. The phenomenal growth in agricultural production since independence has been triggered by higher input use, particularly purchased inputs as well as technology induced productivity enhancement, massive extension efforts, improved farm practices and, above all, ingenuity and hard work of Indian farmers since the Green Revolution Period in late 1960s. However, several challenges – some old and some new – remain. Growth of the agriculture sector has led to the unsustainable use of natural resources like land, water and bio diversity, spread of insects and pests, indiscriminate use of agro chemicals and adverse impact on ecology and environment. There is a need to create an enabling environment for this transition, through appropriate policies and institutions, an enabling regulatory environment, development of frontier technologies, as well as public and private investments in agriculture and agri-business. Akole is home to several historical sites notifying its contribution in history & culture of Maharashtra. Pravara river is one of the major tributaries of Godavari river with historical and mythological references. Wilson Dam is also known as Bhandardara Dam in Shendi village . It has been built in 1910 at about 150 meters ( 490 ft ) above the sea level. Umbrella fall is a waterfall in the shape of an umbrella. Randhafall is a waterfall at about 45 meters (148 ft) high, located about 11 km (6.8 miles) from Wilson Dam. The flowing water is converted into hydro- electricity, a famous tourist spot at Bhandardara. The fall has been a backdrop in shooting of Bollywood films such as Maine Pyaar kiya and Raju Chacha. Nilwande Dam is another Dam built on the Pravara River for hydro-electricity generation. Kalsubai is highest peak in Maharashtra at about 1646 meter (5400 ft). Ghatghar is a famous view points which is situated at 22 km (14 miles) from Wilson Dam and offers excellent views of the Sahyadri range and is home to the 1st project of Udanchau hydro of capacity 250 MW,Kokankada near to Harishchandra fort is a flat, sharp and deep edge of mountains.
