It is not the aim of cDNA Library Protocols to give a comprehensive review of all cDNA library-based methodologies; instead we present a series of up-to-date protocols that together should give a good grounding of proce dures associated with the construction and use of cDNA libraries. Buku ini memberikan dasar pengetahuan mengenai ilmu biologi molekuler yang diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa kedokteran pada khususnya dan mahasiswa dari bidang ilmu biologi, kesehatan, dan farmasi untuk memahami fungsi normal dari sel, jaringan, organ dan penyakit yang dikaitkan dengan aspek molekuler. Buku ini terdiri dari 8 bab, pembahasan dimulai pada aras yang paling dasar yaitu tinjauan tentang sel, materi genetik tersimpan dalam sel tepatnya di kromosom sehingga diharapkan dengan pemahaman dasar tentang sel yang benar mahasiswa dapat dengan mudah mengikuti tema-tema terkait setelahnya. Kompetensi yang diharapkan bisa tercapai setelah membaca buku ini adalah mahasiswa dapat memahami tentang sel beserta struktur dan fungsi materi genetik di dalamnya, sintesis protein, patobiomolekuler kanker, polimorfisme, epigenetik, tehnik biologi molekuler dan aplikasinya di bidang kedokteran dan kesehatan, rekayasa genetika, dan dasar-dasar stem cell. Tentu saja mahasiswa tetap harus mengikuti proses pembelajaran yang lain berupa kuliah, konsultasi pakar, diskusi tutorial, dan praktikum terkait. Pada setiap akhir bab penulis menuliskan tentang Islamic revealed knowledge yang mengungkap kemahabesaran Allah SWT dalam mengendalikan setiap proses yang terjadi dalam tubuh kita khususnya pada level molekuler, hali ini jarang ditemukan pada buku lain yang sejenis. Hal ini bertujuan agar mahasiswa pada khususnya dan pembaca pada umumnya memahami bahwa segala ilmu yang kita pelajari semata-mata dalam rangka menundukkan diri, akal, dan hati dalam mengagumi setiap ciptaan dan ketentuanNya. Selain itu, di setiap akhir bab buku ini disertakan tujuan instruksional umum dan khusus serta soal pengayaan sehingga akan mempermudah pembaca mengukur tingkat pemahaman setelah membaca bab demi bab. |
