The volume is dedicated to Professor Eugen Munteanu, corresponding member of the Romanian Academy, Professor Emeritus of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, by colleagues, friends and disciples, on the occasion of his 70th anniversary (2023). Ten of these studies focus on the crystallisation of various traditions of the biblical text and its transmission through translation: the reception of the reviewed biblical text by the Church Fathers; classical language versions and the emergence of the vernacular; the consolidation of national traditions of the biblical text and its various subtypes - Prophetologion, Psalters, Gospel; pre-modern and contemporary translations of the biblical text based on case studies; interferences and parallelisms between national traditions. Three studies focus on the linguistic perspective, analysing various translations of the biblical text and the formation of related terminology. Two studies are dedicated to images accompanying the biblical text (maps and engravings), whereas three other studies point to the advantages and disadvantages of the use of computers in biblical studies and present two examples of electronic resources built for the study of the biblical text and its modes of transmission. All these topics are closely related to Professor Eugen Munteanu ́s favourite research areas. |

The first is the distinction, established by Freud and based on clinical data, between the two currents of sexuality: tenderness and sensuality. bible crampon: Did Jesus “Je[hovah]-salvation” know God's name? Gerard Gertoux, 2016-04-24 Michael Servetus participated in the Protestant Reformation and translated the Hebrew Bible into Latin. In July 1531, he published his De Trinitatis Erroribus (On the Errors of the Trinity) in which he explained clearly that the Trinity was a 3-headed monster. Accordingly, Catholics and Protestants alike condemned him. He was then arrested in Geneva and burnt at the stake as a heretic by order of the city's Protestant governing council. This book was translated into English only in 1932, but still worse, the main arguments from part V were completely distorted. For example he explained that God's name was Iehouah because in Hebrew this name was close to the name of Iesuah (Jesus), or Iehosuah, which means Iehouah is salvation. He also knew that according to Paulus de Heredia, a Christian Cabbalist, the meaning of God's name was He causes to be (yehauueh), but he never confused the pronunciation of God's name with its Kabbalistic meaning (yehaweh). For Servetus, Iehouah was the only true God. |

Expelled from a religious school at seventeen for lack of maturity, Vivier gave up his ambition to join the priesthood to study composition. Between 1976 and 1983 Vivier wrote the works on which his reputation rests, including Lonely Child, Bouchara, and the operas Kopernikus and Marco Polo. He was also an outspoken presence in the Montreal arts world and gay scene. Vivier left Quebec for Paris in 1982 to work on a new opera, the composition of which was interrupted by his murder. On his desk wasthe manuscript of his last work, uncannily entitled Do You Believe in the Immortality of the Soul. Vivier's is a tragic but life-affirming story, intimately connected to his passionate music. Bob Gilmore was a notedmusicologist and performer who taught at Brunel University in London. Le Tome quatre, ce Tome-ci, est différent, et ne concerne pas nécessairement les mêmes lecteurs. C'est plus un travail de niche, d'Essais philosophiques et spirituels, d'Exégèse biblique, de Théologie chrétienne, d'Eschatologie. Néanmoins, pour ceux qui sont intéressés par ces sujets, ce Tome quatre complète très bien les trois premiers Tomes. Pour les autres, lecteurs instruits et très ouverts, je vous encourage à lire les trois premiers Tomes. L'Auteur espère que l'ensemble de cette série vous plaira, vous apportant d'étonnantes connaissances, une autre idée des temps présents jusque les futurs étonnants, stupéfiants, sidérants même. Mais je dois vous prévenir, ce ne sera pas sans risques : vous pourriez en revenir différent ! Ce vent risque de décoiffer ! |
