automatic syntax tree generator: NEO 2015 Oliver Schütze, Leonardo Trujillo, Pierrick Legrand, Yazmin Maldonado, 2016-09-15 This volume comprises a selection of works presented at the Numerical and Evolutionary Optimization (NEO) workshop held in September 2015 in Tijuana, Mexico. The development of powerful search and optimization techniques is of great importance in today’s world that requires researchers and practitioners to tackle a growing number of challenging real-world problems. In particular, there are two well-established and widely known fields that are commonly applied in this area: (i) traditional numerical optimization techniques and (ii) comparatively recent bio-inspired heuristics. Both paradigms have their unique strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to solve some challenging problems while still failing in others. The goal of the NEO workshop series is to bring together people from these and related fields to discuss, compare and merge their complimentary perspectives in order to develop fast and reliable hybrid methods that maximize the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of the underlying paradigms. Through this effort, we believe that the NEO can promote the development of new techniques that are applicable to a broader class of problems. Moreover, NEO fosters the understanding and adequate treatment of real-world problems particularly in emerging fields that affect us all such as health care, smart cities, big data, among many others. The extended papers the NEO 2015 that comprise this book make a contribution to this goal.

The student who has finished this book can expect to understand the workings of and add to a language processor for each of the modern paradigms, and be able to read the literature on how to proceed. The first provides a firm basis, the second potential for growth.
automatic syntax tree generator: Code Generation with Templates Jeroen Arnoldus, Mark van den Brand, A. Serebrenik, J.J. Brunekreef, 2012-05-22 Templates are used to generate all kinds of text, including computer code. The last decade, the use of templates gained a lot of popularity due to the increase of dynamic web applications. Templates are a tool for programmers, and implementations of template engines are most times based on practical experience rather than based on a theoretical background. This book reveals the mathematical background of templates and shows interesting findings for improving the practical use of templates. First, a framework to determine the necessary computational power for the template metalanguage is presented. The template metalanguage does not need to be Turing-complete to be useful. A non-Turing-complete metalanguage enforces separation of concerns between the view and model. Second, syntactical correctness of all languages of the templates and generated code is ensured. This includes the syntactical correctness of the template metalanguage and the output language. Third, case studies show that the achieved goals are applicable in practice. It is even shown that syntactical correctness helps to prevent cross-site scripting attacks in web applications. The target audience of this book is twofold. The first group exists of researcher interested in the mathematical background of templates. The second group exists of users of templates. This includes designers of template engines on one side and programmers and web designers using templates on the other side

automatic syntax tree generator: Software Testing Automation Saeed Parsa, 2023-03-24 This book is about the design and development of tools for software testing. It intends to get the reader involved in software testing rather than simply memorizing the concepts. The source codes are downloadable from the book website. The book has three parts: software testability, fault localization, and test data generation. Part I describes unit and acceptance tests and proposes a new method called testability-driven development (TsDD) in support of TDD and BDD. TsDD uses a machine learning model to measure testability before and after refactoring. The reader will learn how to develop the testability prediction model and write software tools for automatic refactoring. Part II focuses on developing tools for automatic fault localization. This part shows the reader how to use a compiler generator to instrument source code, create control flow graphs, identify prime paths, and slice the source code. On top of these tools, a software tool, Diagnoser, is offered to facilitate experimenting with and developing new fault localization algorithms. Diagnoser takes a source code and its test suite as input and reports the coverage provided by the test cases and the suspiciousness score for each statement. Part III proposes using software testing as a prominent part of the cyber-physical system software to uncover and model unknown physical behaviors and the underlying physical rules. The reader will get insights into developing software tools to generate white box test data.

automatic syntax tree generator: Automatic Generation and Management of Program Analyses Kwangkeun Yi, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Department of Computer Science, 1993 The user adds projection expressions for selected domains. System Z1 automatically generates a new analyzer which will conduct the program analysis over the simplified domain structure. Projection expressions permit accuracy to be traded against cost, without requiring that the specification of the analysis be altered. Using system Z1 we have designed constant propagation, alias analysis, def-use/use-def chain analysis, and memory object lifetime analysis. The target languages are C, FORTRAN, and SCHEME, without restriction upon the programs treated. We presents [sic] a series of experiments results that demonstrate the uses of projection expressions for these analyses problems.

automatic syntax tree generator: VDM '87.

automatic syntax tree generator: Knowledge and Skill Chains in Engineering and Manufacturing Eiji Arai, Eindhoven University of Technology, Fumihiko Kimura, Keiichi Shirase, 2008-12-21 Since the first DIISM conference, which took place 9 years ago, the world has seen drastic changes, including the transformation of manufacturing and engineering software, and the information and communication technologies deployed. The conditions for manufacturing and engineering have changed on a large scale, in terms of technology-enabled collaboration among the fields of design, engineering, production, usage, maintenance and recyclingldisposal. These changes can be observed in rapidly-growing fields such as supply chain management. As for production technologies at factory floors, new visions on human-machine co-existing systems involve both knowledge management and multi-media technologies. Therefore, because of these changes, the importance of information infrastructure for manufacturing has increased, stunningly. Information infrastructure plays a key role in integrating diverse fields of manufacturing, engineering and management. This, in addition to its basic role, as the information and communication platform for the production systems. Eventually, it should also serve the synthetic function of knowledge management, during the life cycles of both the production systems and their products, and for all stakeholders.

automatic syntax tree generator: Analysis, Architectures and Modelling of Embedded Systems Achim Rettberg, Mauro C. Zanella, Michael Amann, Michael Keckeisen, Franz J. Rammig, 2009-09-04 This book presents the technical program of the International Embedded Systems Symposium (IESS) 2009. Timely topics, techniques and trends in embedded system design are covered by the chapters in this volume, including modelling, simulation, verification, test, scheduling, platforms and processors. Particular emphasis is paid to automotive systems and wireless sensor networks. Sets of actual case studies in the area of embedded system design are also included. Over recent years, embedded systems have gained an enormous amount of proce- ing power and functionality and now enter numerous application areas, due to the fact that many of the formerly external components can now be integrated into a single System-on-Chip. This tendency has resulted in a dramatic reduction in the size and cost of embedded systems. As a unique technology, the design of embedded systems is an essential element of many innovations. Embedded systems meet their performance goals, including real-time constraints, through a combination of special-purpose hardware and software components tailored to the system requirements. Both the development of new features and the reuse of existing intellectual property components are essential to keeping up with ever more demanding customer requirements. Furthermore, design complexities are steadily growing with an increasing number of components that have to cooperate properly. Embedded system designers have to cope with multiple goals and constraints simul- neously, including timing, power, reliability, dependability, maintenance, packaging and, last but not least, price.

automatic syntax tree generator: Computer Supported Cooperative Work in Design I Weiming Shen, Zongkai Lin, Jean-Paul A. Barthès, Tangqiu Li, 2005-11-04 The design of complex artifacts and systems requires the cooperation of multidisciplinary design teams using multiple commercial and non-commercial engineering tools such as CAD tools, modeling, simulation and optimization software, engineering databases, and knowledge-based systems. Individuals or individual groups of multidisciplinary design teams usually work in parallel and separately with various engineering tools, which are located on different sites, often for quite a long time. At any moment, individual members may be working on different versions of a design or viewing the design from various perspectives, at different levels of detail. In order to meet these requirements, it is necessary to have effective and efficient collaborative design environments. These environments should not only automate individual tasks, in the manner of traditional computer-aided engineering tools, but also enable individual members to share information, collaborate and coordinate their activities within the context of a design project. CSCW (computer-supported cooperative work) in design is concerned with the development of such environments.
